Split a PDF

Break a long PDF into smaller files. Choose one file per page, or type ranges such as 1-3, 4-6, 7- and each range becomes its own PDF. Save the parts individually or all together as a ZIP.

Split PDF

Runs on your device

Break a PDF into single pages or page ranges.

Add files above to start.

How to use it

  1. Add a PDF.
  2. Choose "One file per page" or "Custom ranges".
  3. For ranges, type them separated by commas. "7-" means page 7 to the end.
  4. Convert, then save the parts or the whole set as a ZIP.

Example: separating monthly statements

A 12-page annual statement with one month per page is split into 12 files named statement-page-01.pdf to statement-page-12.pdf, ready to file.

Tips

  • To keep only a few pages in one file, use Extract pages instead.
  • Ranges can run backwards, such as 5-1, to reverse the order.

Privacy

Split PDF runs entirely in your browser. Files are never uploaded, never seen by advertising or analytics scripts, and are removed from this tab 10 minutes after you add your first file, or straight away with Delete now. Copies you save to your device stay yours.

Questions

Will split files lose quality?

No. Pages are copied exactly, not re-drawn.

What if I type a page that does not exist?

You get a clear message telling you how many pages the PDF has.

Can I split several PDFs at once?

Yes. Each PDF in the workspace is split with the same settings.
