How to use it
- Add your PDF.
- Choose the limit, such as 25 MB for Gmail or 20 MB for Outlook.
- Decide whether re-drawing pages as images is allowed.
- Convert and check the note before you save.
Example: a scanned contract
A 38 MB scanned contract needs to go under 10 MB. The lossless pass saves very little because it is all images, so pages are re-drawn at 150 DPI. The result is around 4 MB and perfectly readable, but the text cannot be selected.
Tips
- Text-only PDFs are usually already small; big PDFs are almost always full of images.
- Untick re-drawing if the PDF has forms or links you need to keep.
Privacy
PDF size fixer runs entirely in your browser. Files are never uploaded, never seen by advertising or analytics scripts, and are removed from this tab 10 minutes after you add your first file, or straight away with Delete now. Copies you save to your device stay yours.
Questions
Will my text still be searchable?
Yes if the lossless clean-up is enough. If pages are re-drawn as images, text becomes part of the image and is no longer searchable.
What if the target is impossible?
You get the smallest readable version and a clear note that the target was missed.
Are forms and links kept?
Only with the lossless clean-up. Re-drawing removes them.
