How to use it
- Add one or more .webp files.
- Keep PNG for transparency, or pick JPG.
- Press Convert.
- Save the result.
Example: a logo with a transparent background
A 40 KB WebP logo converts to a PNG with its transparent background intact. The PNG is larger, often 2–5 times, because PNG is lossless.
Tips
- Use Compress image afterwards if the PNG is too large.
- Animated WebP files are converted using their first frame.
Privacy
WebP to PNG runs entirely in your browser. Files are never uploaded, never seen by advertising or analytics scripts, and are removed from this tab 10 minutes after you add your first file, or straight away with Delete now. Copies you save to your device stay yours.
Questions
Is transparency preserved?
Yes, when converting to PNG.
Why is the PNG larger?
PNG stores pixels without lossy compression, so it needs more space than WebP.
Are animations supported?
Not yet. Only the first frame is converted.
