Batch rename

Runs on your device

Tokens: {name} original name, {n} number, {date} today, {type} file type. The file contents are not changed.

Add files above to start.

How to use it

  1. Add any files.
  2. Type a pattern such as holiday-{n} or {date}-{name}.
  3. Choose the starting number and digits.
  4. Convert and save the ZIP.

Example: numbering scans

With the pattern scan-{n}, starting at 1 with three digits, files become scan-001.jpg, scan-002.jpg and so on, in workspace order.

Tips

  • Reorder files in the workspace first to control numbering.
  • Clashing names get -2, -3 added automatically.

Privacy

Batch rename runs entirely in your browser. Files are never uploaded, never seen by advertising or analytics scripts, and are removed from this tab 10 minutes after you add your first file, or straight away with Delete now. Copies you save to your device stay yours.
